Two senior exectives from FAW-Volkswagen Automobile Co. Ltd., a joint venture between Volkswagen and a state owned carmaker, are currently being investigated by the Jilin Provincial Prosecutor’s office.
Li Wu and Zhou Chun, are under investigation for ‘serious violations of laws’;the announcement from the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection didn’t mention exactly what alleged crimes the executives are under investigation for, but this latest probe ties in with the recent trend of crack downs on automobile companies in China.
The investigation was ordered after a government inspection team found ‘problems’ during a routine visit.
