University in Hebei Implements New Anti-technology Policy

A university in Hebei Province has implemented a new policy to separate students from their machines as teachers became sick and tired of students not paying attention and playing with their phones and tablets in class.

Students Hebei Normal University must now surrender their phones and tablets at the beginning of class and put them in a pouch marked with their name and student number which is attached to the front of the desks.

Chinese youth and problems of internet addiction have been widely reported in recent years, with many parents going to extreme lengths to try and solve their children’s problems. Earlier this year, an internet addiction treatment center hit headlines when a teenager died whilst in their custody.

Chinese people will admit that they barely study or learn anything in university, and that their professors barely teach anything. It would be much better to implement this in high school.
