UnionPay International has announced that it will offer discounts to its cardholders at certain tourist destinations around the world.
Between now and the end of February, cardholders will enjoy discounts of up to 15 percent when they use UnionPay to pay for hotels, dining, shopping, sightseeing, cultural visits and entertainment in 20 cities across the world, including Sydney, Paris and Rome.
There is also a 10 percent discount at 10 resort islands, including Phuket, Bali and the Maldives.
The company is hoping that these actions will encourage tourists to spend more and visit more different places, China Daily reports.
