Looking for something cultural to do during the October holiday in Suzhou? Why not head to the Tiger Hill Temple Fair between September 28 and October 20 to witness a wide range of traditional Chinese events and customs.

Fair-goers will be treated to traditional operas from across the region including the famous Kunqu Opera. There’ll also be eye-catching dragon dances, tea-tasting events, percussion dances and many other traditional performances from the Suzhou area. And if all that performance-watching gives you the munchies, there’ll be a wide selection of local Suzhou snacks on offer.

When: Sep 28 – Oct 20, 07:30-17:30
Where: No.8, inside Tiger Hill Gate, Shantang Jie, Jinchang District, Suzhou

How much: Free but the 40 RMB entrance fee to get into the scenic area still applies
Getting there: take bus No. 32 or Express 3 to Huqiu Beimen stop (虎丘北门)
