Tianjin will be opening the first section of the ‘City Green Way’ in July, which will be a free space lined with wooded areas for residents to jog and walk along.
The path will be equipped with a running track, walking path and lined with grass and trees to give residents a place to exercise ‘close to nature’ in the middle of the sprawling metropolis.
The initial demonstration section is 1.1 kilometers long, and the local authorities hope to expand the section up to 24 kilometers in future.
