A Taiwanese man was sentenced to 18 years in prison for drugging and killing a male Chinese model. The man, Du, 43, pretended to be a boss from a Mainland modeling agency to lure in male models, drug them, and sexually assault them. One of the models died after an overdose.

Du worked for a Mainland electronics company, but often posed as a television executive or the boss of an advertising company.

He drugged and assaulted models in Hunan Province several times. The last time, one of the men died in the hotel after a drug overdose. Du fled the Mainland back to Taiwan.

Taiwanese police found Du in Taiwan, after Mainland police requested their help.

Du was charged with homicide, money laundering and sexual assault.
