Suzhou Metro Line 2 to Open on December 28

Line 2 of Suzhou’s Metro will open for operation on December 28. The line will have a total length of 26.5 km. The first station will be Suzhou North Station, while the terminal station will be Baodai South Bridge Station with a total of 22 stations in between. The rate of fare will be the same as that used for Line #1; the opening fare will be 2 RMB, and the highest maximum charge will be 6 RMB.

Additionally, Line 2 will carry out test runs of its subway from December 9-15. Starting from now until December 8, Line 2 will issue free tickets from each of its 22 stations every morning at 9:00; each person may be allocated a maximum of 2 tickets.
