Since May 10th, the starting fare for taxis in Yinchuan has increased from 5 RMB to 7 RMB for the first three kilometres. What’s more, the free waiting time of taxis has been adjusted from 5 minutes to 3 minutes. Taxis who wait on passengers for more than 3 minutes, will now charge the equivalent of a 0.5 kilometre fare for every additional 1.5 minutes waited.
