Shanghai Tourism Festival to be Held September 13- October 6

The 2014 Shanghai Tourism Festival will be held from September 13 to October 6. During the festival, there will be discounted tickets for over 50 popular tourist destinations.

The public can participate for free in a group, or can independently experience the festival. The Tourism Festival organizers will combine the tourist resources of Huangpu, Jing’an, Changning, Hongkou and Xuhui districts in order to create a combined formation with different themes: “Strolling along the Su River Bank”, “Dialogue with Eileen Chang”, “Listening to Hongkou” and “Storm on Shanghai Beach”. Together, they will showcase the unique charm of Shanghai culture.

On the evening of September 13, the opening ceremony, titled “Float Parade” will be held, in which 32 domestic and foreign groups will perform and 22 floats will feature.

The parade will start at Huaihai Road at 19:30.
