Potala Palace Becomes Tibet’s First National 5A Class Tourist Attraction

Last January, Potala Palace was named one of China’s national 5A class tourist attractions by the National Tourism Administration in Beijing. Potala Palace is the first national 5A class tourist attraction in Tibet. The site, also known as the Pearl on the Roof of the World, dates back more than 1,300 years. It was inscribed to UNESCO’s World Heritage list in 1994.
