Popular Chinese Singer Yin Xiangjie Arrested on Drug Charges
Dec 30, 2014 By eChinacities.com

Popular Beijing singer Yin Xiangjie is the latest celebrity to get caught up in the crackdown on drug use in the capital.

Police arrested the 45-year old who shot to fame in 1993 with the hit ‘Boat Tracker’s Love’, on Thursday night at his home in Chaoyang District. Police found and seized over 10 grams of narcotics including several grams of chrystal meth.

This latest arrest is just one of a string of celebrity arrests this year, the most high profile of which was that of Jaycee Chan, who has been formally charged with providing a shelter for drug use. If found guilty, he could be facing up to three years of jail time.
