On April 24, the United Nations released the 2015 “World Happiness Report.” Switzerland is listed as the happiest country in the world, followed by Denmark, Norway, and Canada. China comes in at number 84.
Happy countries Finland, the Netherlands, Sweden, New Zealand and Australia were ranked number six through ten. Most of the countries in the top 10 are nations in Western Europe and Nordic countries. As for Western powers, the United States ranks 15th, the United Kingdom is number 21, Germany is 26 and France is 29. The bottom 10 countries include Afghanistan, war-torn Syria, and eight countries in sub-Saharan Africa.
The criteria for the United Nations' rankings included per capita GDP, average life expectancy, amount of free choice, amount of corruption, and more.

I heard Mars was the happiest planet of all in a recent survey carried out last year. Earth ranked 45th out of 200 planets surveyed.
