Urumqi International Airport has implemented a new, stricter regulation allowing only one piece of carry-on luggage not exceeding 5 kg in weight. Any bags over that limit must be transferred to checked luggage. Furthermore, rolling trolleys/suitcases must be registered as checked in luggage and cannot be taken as a carry-on bag.
