Things will get loud at Xiamen’s Jihe Art on January 10, when Subjam's Miji Festival 2013 returns with its lengthy line-up of noisemakers. Fans of experimental improvisation can look forward to performances from a number of key players in Asia's experimental music scene including China's very own experimental noise stalwart Yan Jun, Japanese composer and multi-instrumentalist Otomo Yoshihide, German clarinetist Kai Fagaschinski, Korean keyboardist Ryu Hankil, Singaporean sound artist Yuen Chee Wai and many more. There will also be performances by a number of well-known Chinese bands including Shanghai's X is Y and Beijing's Mafeisan. An experimental documentary film about experimental music and featuring a score by Otomo Yoshihide will also be screened.
