A man named Chen was arrested for drunk driving after moving his friend’s car in a school drop off zone.

Chen had been drinking when he accompanied a friend to drop his friend’s child off at school on the evening of November 18, 2015. His friend got off to walk his child to the school’s gate. The friend left the car in gear, and asked Chen to move it to avoid a traffic jam. Chen moved the car twice to make room for others.

Chen was stopped by traffic police working the drop off zone who smelled alcohol on him. He was stopped under the suspicion of drunk driving. His blood alcohol levels were tested and it was over the legal limit.

He was arrested for driving drunk and his driver’s license was revoked. According to the relevant laws, he will not be able to acquire a new license for five years. Chen works as a chauffeur, therefore this was an especially painful lesson for him.
