Madame Tussauds, a London-based wax museum, will open a branch in Wuhan, according to an announcement made by the Wanda Group and Merlin Entertainments Group at the Sofitel Wanda Beijing Hotel on March 18. The new Madame Tussauds will be located on Chu River and Han Street, which is being developed (with Wanda Group) as a project of the Phase 1 of Wuhan Central Cultural Zone. Tussauds has invested approximately 80 million RMB towards the new museum, which will be the fifth in Asia, following Shanghai, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Tokyo.
