Location and Climate

Zhuhai is blessed with a warm climate, which has a yearly low of only around 7C: sometimes it's said that Zhuhai misses out on winter altogether. January and February have the lowest temperatures, warming up sharply in April and reaching the summer season properly by May. The highest summer temperature is around 36C. The heat does have a downside! Zhuhai is subjected to tropical storms and is extremely humid. Sudden showers are common: visitors should pack accordingly with lightweight rain gear and umbrellas. Typhoons are also a reasonable risk in Zhuhai, and if one is forecast, visitors should seriously consider canceling their travel plans.

Zhuhai is located to the south of Guangdong province, which sits on the eastern side of China. It is bordered by Macau to the east, and a short trip 36 miles across the South China Sea will bring you to Hong Kong.
