Nov 18, 2013 By eChinacities.com

Between November 13 and 15, Lanzhou experienced three days of heavy pollution. As a result the City has issued a statement stating that between November 17 and January 10 2014, they will be implementing number plate restrictions. If your cars license plate ends in an odd number you will be able to drive one day, and even numbers the next.

Emergency vehicles and taxis will be exempt from these restrictions.
