KFC is taking legal action against companies spreading rumors about its restaurants on WeChat.
KFC has filed a claim against 10 WeChat accounts belonging to three Chinese firms. The company is seeking 1.5 million Yuan per defendant, immediate cessation of inflammatory posts, and an apology.
The rumors include the abuse of chickens, breeding toxic chickens, and the existence of a monster chicken bred to have six wings and eight legs.
The WeChat accounts in question belong to Shanxi Weilukuang Technology Company Ltd, Shenzhen Yingchennanzhi Success and Culture Communication Ltd, and Taiyuan Zero Point Technology Company.
This is the first case of a food company suing social media accounts for spreading rumors.

'The rumors include the abuse of chickens, breeding toxic chickens, and the existence of a monster chicken bred to have six wings and eight legs.' When it comes to money this is the kind of creativity you see in china.
