Oct 31, 2012 By eChinacities.com

From October 23, a new set of rules have been implemented in Shijiazhuang which stipulate that pedestrians violating a number of traffic rules – including walking over red lights, not walking on the sidewalk, climbing over road barriers etc. – will now be fined 50 RMB per offense. The new rules also state that when a large group of pedestrians walk over red lights at a large crossroad, the first three will be ordered to pay the fine. Meanwhile, groups caught jaywalking at small crossroads will each be fined.
