This is a huge load of crap. The average salary in CHINA is now 2000-3000 RMB. How do I know? Because I have lived and worked here for almost a decade. Only Chinese managers or salespeople make about 8k RMB per month.

Yeap, load of crap. Most of us who have been here long enough know all about mainlanders' ability to blow a football to the size of a football stadium. The chart in this article detailed 2014 minimum wage figures for various cities chinawide. Beijing, RMB 1560 (~USD 260) per month, Shanghai RMB 1860, Shenzhen RMB 1808, rest of China around RMB 1100. This is the monthly salary many of their undergrads get with their first job, mostly as sales these days. To say RMB 8482 is the average wage may be correct if their definition of wage includes the astronomical corruption income of government officials and their collaborators in various business sectors. This is half the information and actually very inaccurate. Half the info because you should account for cost of living. Inaccurate, because they essentially surveyed the more well to do .
