Rumours have been spread on Weixin that there are 500,000 Africans living in Guangzhou in total.
Guangzhou’s Ebola Epidemic Prevention and Control Conference was held recently, and there was no speculation on how many Africans actually are in Guangzhou. This year, Guangzhou’s entry and exit bureau counted 438,000 Africans between January and October.
Guangzhou officially has 15,570 African people registered, 4,096 of whom are on residential permits.
