There is a decent entertainment scene in Hohhot, and some great bars. The Mongolian people are fond of singing and dancing late into the night, so there are a variety of places that are open late and cater to a variety of tastes. Some venues feature nightly Mongolian shows, and others cater towards more Western tastes. There is a brand-new bar street that was completed in late summer 2007, which has a strip of European-style bars. It runs from Zhandong Lu in the west to Xinchun Lu in the east.
