Hefei Luogang International Airport is about 12 kilometers (7 miles) south of the downtown area, and serves most domestic Chinese destinations. Flight times for major cities: Beijing – 1.5 hrs; Shanghai – 1 hr; Guangzhou – 2 hrs; Shenzhen – 2 hrs; Dalian – 1.5 hrs; Xi’an – 2 hrs.
There are nonstop flights to Hong Kong on Mondays and Friday mornings, with a flight time of two hours. Transportation from downtown Hefei to the airport is quite easy, either by public bus (route 11, 1 RMB) or by taxi (15 RMB).
