Harbin’s Subway Line 1 Officially Running Since Sep 26

Harbin’s subway line 1 – China’s first line equipped to operate in -38℃ temperatures – officially began operations on September 26.

The line is 17.47 km in length, beginning at Harbin South Railway Station and terminating at Harbin East Station. The line is served by 18 stations, all of which are underground. Price for the line is determined by the number of stations: trips within nine stations cost 2 RMB, 12 stations 3 RMB and 18 stations are priced at 4 RMB. The subway line is in operation from 06:00-21:00.
