On July 1, the Hangzhou East Railway Station will open, with the station serving as a stop on six Beijing to Nanjing high-speed train routes.
This means that high-speed trains from Beijing to Hangzhou will no longer stop at Shanghai, thus reducing the journey time from Beijing to Hangzhou by 1.5 hours. Passengers can now travel between the two cities in just five hours.
Also, there are still two high-speed train routes that run from Beijing South to Hangzhou’s main railway station.
