Gualangyu residents can now access free wifi in up to 88 different public places. The Xiamen Radio and Television Network has just finished installing the equipment, and the wifi coverage extends to all the main roads and piers of the island.
The wifi is very simple to use, just join the ‘airxmbtm’ network, and then enter your phone number as an account number. After that, you press the ‘Dynamic Password’ button, (动态密码) to get the password.
The wifi apparently has a download speed of 148.6kb/s and can smoothly stream movies and videos.
