Mar 18, 2014 By eChinacities.com

Guangzhou Price Bureau has released its latest price adjustment scheme for parking fees in the city. The increase is pretty dramatic: residential outdoor parking has increased from 1 RMB for an hour of parking to 1 RMB for 15 minutes of parking. Roadside parking has increased from 2 RMB for 15 minutes to 5.5 RMB for 15 minutes, where it used to be 80 RMB for a full day of parking, it’ll now be 176 RMB, and commercial parking will increase from 5 RMB per hour to 4 RMB per 15 minutes.

After these price adjustments, Guangzhou is aiming to improve its public transport network by including 25 new bus routes, 500 new buses and a further 50 km of bus lanes.
