According to the Guangdong Provincial Meteorological Observatory from May 8-11 Guangzhou will experience the heaviest rainfall to hit the city or province so far this year, accompanied by a slight rise in temperature.
To deal with the extreme weather, Guangzhou Railway Station will be taking some extra safety measures, including opening an extra entry tunnel, an extra entrance, putting down anti slip mats and handing out free rain ponchos.
