Guangzhou Transport authorities plan to add 50 new bus lines to the already massive traffic network in order to lessen the dependency on cars and ease congestion. The move comes after authorities increased parking fees in the city. They plan to add 21 rural and urban lines, 12 peak times express buses, 9 night buses, 6 micro-circulation lines, one business line, one holiday line and several lines that feed tourist hotspots.
