Guangdong Condom Company Sues Japanese Company Over Condom Thin-ness
Sep 23, 2014 By eChinacities.com

Guangdong local condom brand Aoni broke Okamoto’s record for being the thinnest condom last December and got a certificate to prove it.

But even up until this year, in various supermarkets’ shelves you will see Okamoto’s condom slogan: “The thinnest condom in the world, only 0.03mm”, meaning many customers have had trouble understanding which one is actually the thinnest. This left Aoni unpleased.

Aoni has therefore sued Okamoto on the grounds of false advertising and unfair competition, for a price of 1 RMB, as a symbolic compensation and hopes that Okamoto will make a public apology in response.
