Government Calls on Public for Drugs, Food Safety Tip-Offs
Dec 18, 2014 By eChinacities.com

China’s State Council has called on the public for tip-offs on food safety and drugs violations according to a newly drafted regulation on Wednesday.

Government food and drug watchdogs have been instructed to create channels for informants to report tip-offs including telephone, internet, letters and petitions.

Authorities have requested that informants supply evidence when submitting tip-offs as well as their contact information, although those who wish to remain anonymous still may do so.

This move follows on from calls earlier this year for terror informants who were given the added incentive of cash rewards for information that led to the capture of suspected terrorists.
