Girl Poses as Cancer Sufferer’s Granddaughter for 6 Years
Feb 20, 2013 By eChinacities.com

The story of a Nanjing girl who faked the identity of a cancer sufferer’s granddaughter has been very popular on Weibo in recent days. According to the original post, 30 years ago, an unwanted newborn baby was put up for adoption. In 2006, the mother of the girl that had given her baby up for adoption (the baby’s grandmother), had developed cancer and wanted nothing more than to meet her granddaughter before she passed away. Touched by this story, a young girl also from Nanjing pretended to be the granddaughter, and maintained the hoax until the grandmother passed away six years later.
