Market research firm Gartner has released a global statistical report on mobile phones for the third quarter on Monday. The report shows that smart phone sales grew by 20 percent in the third quarter to 301 million. Three Chinese phone brands , Xiaomi. Lenovo and Huawei occupied seats in the top 5.
According to the report, the total mobile phone sales for this quarter were 455 million, with a consistent growth rate. Smart phone sales have risen by 20.3 percent since last year, from 250 million units to 301 million units.
Samsung topped the rankings with 73, 212,400 units sold; Apple was next with 38,186,600 units; Huawei was in third place with 15,934,900 units sold; Xiaomi was close behind with 15,772,500 units and Lenovo took fifth place with 15,011,900 units.
