Fujian Restaurant Serves Daily Free Vegetarian Lunch

A couple from Quanzhou, Fujian recently retired back to their hometown and opened a restaurant that serves a free vegetarian lunch every day. The couple, Mr. and Mrs. Liu, spend a few thousand Yuan every day preparing the free lunch. Two hundred or so people attend the lunches.

Mr. and Mrs. Liu said that they have opened the restaurant in order to repay society, and that business has been very good. The couple are helped daily by a number of volunteers and professional cooking staff.

The restaurant also offers lectures and seminars on traditional Chinese culture. Customers can attend live lectures or watch video playback of previous speakers.

Good to hear about some philanthropy for a change. But i hope they are not over-run by free-loaders who think nothing about taking advantage of such generosity.

Sounds pretty I guess. Good to see some people repaying society for a change rather than cheating, stealing and abusing others.
