Free Trade Agreement between China and Australia

Free Trade Agreement between China and Australia
Nov 18, 2014 By eChinacities.com

While visiting Australia, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Australian Prime Minister discussed free trade negotiations. It seems like the signing of a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) is not far off.

Once signed and implemented, the FTA will mean that 95 percent of Australian exports to China will be tariff-free. Australian dairy industry tariffs will be removed within four years, and tariffs on Australia’s energy resources will also be eliminated, within two years.

Overall, there will be better market access between both countries.

On top of this, the working holiday visa will be available to young Chinese people. This visa allows someone to stay in Australia for up to one year, if they are between the ages of 18 and 30. A few different countries offer this visa, but New Zealand was previously the only country to offer it to Chinese people. Australia will now offer 5,000 of these types of visas to Chinese people.

I really hope Aus (along with every other western nation) stop giving away citizenship. In America, once they're in the country it is possible to get them out.
