Foreign National Smuggles Lighter in Friend’s Bag Both Get Caught at Airport
May 29, 2014 By eChinacities.com

Yesterday, May 28, a foreign national by the name of Mr Ashrof and his rubbish friend Mr Alfaraj were going through security at Baiyun International Airport in Guangzhou. Security personnel discovered that a lighter had been taped to the inside of the suitcase handle.

Mr Ashrof said to the security officers that he had absolutely no knowledge of this, and was protesting the accusation, when Mr Alfaraj came clean, apologized to the security personnel and admitted that he’d put the lighter there. As he didn’t have any carryon luggage, he just thought he’d tape the prohibited item onto his friend’s suitcase instead, getting them both into hot water.

It’s unclear right now what exactly will happen to the pair as the incident is being dealt with by airport security. With friends like that, who needs enemies?
