Daqing is a city known for its oil-based and well developed economy. In 2009, Daqing’s Sa’ertu Airport opened for public use and also introduced better, convenient travelling for locals and tourists alike. Daqing is a convenient city no matter if you are traveling by plane, train, or bus.

The city is well connected by water, but at present there is no significant passenger traffic through Daqing, though freight transport on the Songhua River is common.
