Dalian Transport - Bus

The predominant mode of public transport in Dalian is the public bus, with most services running at regular intervals from early in the morning to late in the evening. Buses on major routes are particularly crowded during rush hour, and cost 1 RMB for a one-way ticket. Visitors are advised that most buses in Dalian do not have central heating or air-conditioning. There are, however, three special tourist buses that serve most scenic spots that have central heating and air conditioning.

Dalian's public transport network also includes a tram system that adds to the city's character. There are two tram routes: 201 (with which 203 was merged) from Xinggong Street, Shahekou District to Haizhiyun and 202 from Xinggong Street, Shahekou District to Beihekou. The cost per person is 1 RMB.

The city also operates a ''Tourist Loop Line'' bus route. For a fare of 10 RMB, visitors can hop on and off the bus at any spot they choose, all day long. The loop’s day route stops at: Dalian Railway Station, the People's Square, the Exhibition and Conference Center, Dalian Sea Shell Museum, Forest Zoo (south gate), Fujiazhuang, Yanwoling Hunqing Park, Beidaqiao, Niaoyulin, Hutan Leyuan, Gangwan Square , Zhongshan Square and Dalian Railway Station.
