Cold Front to Impact North-Western Areas from September 19

From September 19, a cold front will approach from the west, impacting a large proportion of the north of the country. The cold air will move across northern Xinjiang, Gansu and Western Inner Mongolia bringing a temperature drop of around 6-8 degrees celsius, with some areas seeing temperature drops of up to 10 degrees and strong winds.

Northern Xinjiang will see blizzards and stormy weather, with temperature drops of 8-12 degrees whilst the Southern Xinjiang basin will see dust and sand storms. Southern Gansu and Qinghai will experience cloudy weather before clearing up in the next couple of days and welcoming temperatures of 25 degrees.

Meanwhile, Yunnan province is to expect moderate to heavy rains in West, Central and Eastern parts over the next three days.
