Apr 28, 2016 By eChinacities.com

Chinese vocational students can no longer hold internships at bars and nightclubs according to new regulations from the Ministry of Education. The provision was put in place to stop entertainment venues from taking advantage of cheap labor. Students cannot hold internships at bars, nightclubs, karaoke bars, bathhouses and other commercial entertainment venues.

The regulations stipulate that student interns must be paid 80% of normal probation period wages. Wages must be paid in full in a timely manner to student interns.
