The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers has forecast that over 24 million vehicles will be sold and a further 24 million will be produced this year in China, accounting for a quarter of the world’s total vehicle output.

According to CAAM’s vice-president, Dong Yang, China is set to become the largest car producer and consumer in the world, as the total number of vehicles sold in China has risen by 13.87 percent from last year.

He also stressed the importance of cooperation between foreign and domestic firms in building up the domestic automobile industry- a cooperation that has been somewhat strained of late since the recent government crack down on foreign companies.

Like with all foreign companies they want the co-operation until they have taken what they want and then they start to make things tough. When is this country ever going to start behaving to the same standards as the rest of the world which they so much want to be accepted by?
