China UnionPay is expecting to launch a payment app for phones that use Android software. The app is being referred to as “Android Pay”.

The move is allegedly an effort to keep up with other payment processors like Alibaba Group Holding Ltd’s Alipay.

UnionPay is also expecting to launch a version for iOS users in March 2015.
