Big news hit the capital the other day after it became known that Neil Robinson, who was wanted by the British police on charges of child rape and porn distribution, was apparently at large in Beijing.

On April 26, the Beijing police announced that Robinson had been detained at the British Embassy, though a day later sources are now claiming that he turned himself in. Meanwhile, a person calling him/herself “Gaiushe” confirmed that Robinson had previously taught at the Beijing World Youth Academy for several years, despite being listed as a wanted man on BBC television program Crimewatch.

Now that the Surrey police have learned of his detainment in Beijing, it’s likely that Robinson will be deported. According to reports, the British Foreign Office is currently working with Chinese authorities to discuss the details of his deportation.
