Brief Intro to Chengdu Shopping

There is no shortage of places to satisfy a shopping sweet tooth in Chengdu. Whether you're looking to pick up some of the province's specialty products (bamboo, lacquerware, brocade, silk and silver) or are just fleshing out your wardrobe, Chengdu undoubtedly has something for you.

Chengdu's most fashionable shops and lively marketplaces are located around Chunxi Road, with similar locations at nearby Zongfu Road and Luomashi. Knicknacks and local products can be had for a pittance at the night markets next to Jinjiang Hotel and Minshan Hotel, but haggling is a must.

But Chengdu's biggest bargains are available at He Hua Ci, a wholesale market that spans around 20 square blocks. Remember: no prices are fixed prices!
