From February 5, taxis in Sanya will be bookable by phone. Customers can make reservations by calling 96789 24-hours prior to their journey. However, bookable taxis are currently only available in six areas around Sanya such as the airport, train station, Dadonghai Square (大东海广场), Jiyang Town (吉阳镇), Haitang Bay (海棠湾) and Yalong Bay (亚龙湾). Flag fall is 8 RMB for the first 2 km, after which 2 RMB will be added per km.
