Blue Warning Issued For Beijing’s Air Quality, PM2.5 Levels Hazardous

At 06:00 this morning eijing’s PM2.5 levels reached 371, and the government issued a blue warning. By lunchtime the levels had dropped to 285, which is still considered hazardous and the blue warning has remained. Beijing’s has been experiencing a prolonged period of bad air quality since January 16 when PM2.5 levels exceeded 600 .

However, Beijing’s Environmental Control Centre has said that they predict that by the afternoon on January 24 a northeast high pressure should move in and help clear up Beijing’s air quality.
