Beijing has topped the list of cities with the largest number of cars according to results published by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers. The statistics show that there are currently 137 millions cars in the whole country, and Beijing has 5.37million of them, which doesn’t come as a surprise to anyone who has ever made the wrong call to take a cab instead of the subway during rush hour.
However, it’s not as congested as Shanghai, which got the number one spot for congestion- Hangzhou came in second, followed by Beijing, Chongqing, Shenzhen and Guangzhou.
