The list is based on the number of passengers boarding and arriving and general traffic throughout the airport. Based on this, Hartsfield-Jackson is the busiest airport in the world with 94,431,224 passengers with Beijing Capital close behind with 83712,355. The report also showed that Kuala Lumpur International airport had the highest rate of passenger traffic growth, and Dubai international airport ranked second highest with a growth rate of 15.2%
