The Bayinbuluke Grassland International Folk Art and Music Festival (巴音布鲁克(国际)草原民歌艺术节) will be held at the Bayinbuluke Grassland, July 28-31. Over 50 musicians from diverse ethnic groups will be performing. The traditional Mongolian activity, passing of the "Zulu Light," will be recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Getting there: From Urumqi take the Heijing County highway for about seven hours or take the Urumqi-Korla, Urumqi-Asku or Urumqi to Kashgar train and get off at Hejing, then take taxi or hired car to grasslands.
